Chelyse is an east coast native, but a traveler at heart. She graduated from Texas State University in 2020, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Digital Media Communications and Sociology. Soon after, Chelyse moved to NYC as a teacher's assistant to continue her work with students in underserved communities. She became hyperaware of the critical mental health conditions around her during the pandemic, especially in BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, and quickly began taking charge of her own wellness. Since then, Chelyse has sought out opportunities to learn more about social-emotional health and take part in creating social change. She aspires to be a safe space and advocate for people, empowering them to speak up and make way for themselves and voices unheard. Chelyse envisions a life of traveling, exploring culture, and cultivating her passions through wellness, food, and music.
