Field Coordinator
Carmen Jones is a Field Coordinator for the Manhattan and Bronx boroughs. She is a dynamic artist, educator, actress, director, and creative leader with over 20 years of experience in theater, youth development, and arts education. A Chicago native, Carmen holds a B.A. in Theatre from the University of Illinois Chicago and has also studied at The Juilliard School. As an actress, her work spans film, Off-Broadway productions, and television, including appearances on a Netflix series. Her work blends creativity, mindfulness, storytelling, and community-building to create meaningful and transformative experiences for young people and adults alike.
Passionate about healing through the arts, Carmen has led nonprofit programs in poetry, spoken word, theater, and Social Emotional Learning throughout schools and community organizations in both Chicago and New York City. Known for her vibrant energy, warm spirit, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life, she enjoys acting, writing, directing, traveling, curating empowering events, and bringing people together through creativity, laughter, and authentic expression. Fun fact: Carmen was CTL-trained through Brain Power Wellness before officially joining the BPW team, making her journey with the organization come full circle.
